I’ve been living in Sydney for the past 18 months, and honestly, I can’t get enough of this city. From the stunning beaches to the vibrant culture and endless activities, there’s always something exciting to do here. Whether you’re visiting for a few days or calling it home like I am, Sydney has a little bit of everything, and I absolutely love it.

Things To Do:

Sydney Bridge Climb
One of the most unforgettable experiences I’ve had in Sydney is definitely the Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb. If you’re looking for an adventure, this should be at the top of your list. With the guidance of expert climbers, you make your way up the bridge’s arches, and trust me, the views are absolutely worth it. From the summit, you get panoramic views of the city, the harbour, and some of Sydney’s most famous landmarks, including the Sydney Opera House and Circular Quay. I also recommend the Summit Twilight Climb – it’s unreal watching the city transform as the sun sets and the lights begin to shine. It’s a bit of an investment, but it’s definitely worth it for the experience.

Go to Bondi beach
If you’re in Sydney, Bondi Beach is a must-visit spot. It’s not just about the surf, though it’s perfect for that. The whole vibe is laid-back, and there are plenty of cafes, bars, and shops to explore. You can’t miss iconic spots like the Bondi Icebergs or the Bondi Markets, which are especially great on Sundays. Getting there is super easy too – just hop on a train to Bondi Junction, and then a short bus ride will take you straight to the beach. It’s one of the best places to relax and enjoy a full beach day.

Take the ferry from Circular Quay to Manly
One of my favourite ways to enjoy Sydney’s breathtaking harbour is by taking the ferry from Circular Quay to Manly. The ferry ride itself offers amazing views of the harbour and iconic landmarks like the Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. It’s a scenic and relaxing way to travel, and once you arrive in Manly, you’ll find beautiful beaches, great cafes, and local attractions. It’s definitely a must-do while you’re in Sydney.

Watch the FREE firework display in Darling Harbour.
Every Saturday night, Darling Harbour puts on a free fireworks show, and it’s one of the best ways to spend an evening. Depending on the season, the display usually starts around 8:30 or 9:00 pm, and people gather all around Darling Harbour to watch. You can enjoy the fireworks from several spots around the harbour, and the best part? It’s totally free! It’s a fantastic way to kick back and enjoy the evening, especially if you’re looking for something fun to do without spending a dime.

Watch the sunset at Mrs Macquarie’s Chair
If you’re in Sydney, Mrs Macquarie’s Chair is one of the best spots to watch the sunset. Located at the edge of the Royal Botanic Garden, this spot gives you a stunning view of the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge as the sun sets over the harbour. It’s a popular spot for both locals and tourists, and for good reason. The view is absolutely breathtaking, and it’s the perfect place to unwind after a busy day of exploring Sydney.

Grab a coffee
If you’re a coffee lover like me, you have to check out Eleven Miles on Crown Street in Surry Hills. This is my go-to spot for a quality coffee in Sydney. The staff are super friendly, and the flat whites are top-notch, just the way I like them. On a sunny day, their iced lattes are the perfect refresher. If you’re ever in the area, definitely swing by and grab a coffee – it’s one of the best in the city.
