Brisbane, Australia

Brisbane, the third-most populous city in Australia, is often overshadowed by the larger Sydney and Melbourne, but it’s got its own unique charm that’s hard to beat. Known for its vibrant atmosphere, subtropical climate, and rich cultural diversity, Brisbane offers a fantastic mix of outdoor activities, delicious food, and laid-back vibes. It’s the kind of place where you can enjoy both the bustling city life and the natural beauty of the surroundings. If you’re planning a visit, here are a couple of things I absolutely recommend doing.

Things To Do:

Visit Felons Brewing
One of the highlights of my time in Brisbane was definitely a visit to Felons Brewing. If you’re into craft beer or just love a good place to hang out, this spot is a must. Located right on the Brisbane River in the trendy Howard Smith Wharves area, it’s the perfect place to kick back and relax. I spent a few hours enjoying the laid-back atmosphere, sipping on some great local brews while soaking in the stunning views of the water and the iconic Story Bridge. It’s one of those places that has everything—great food, amazing drinks, and unbeatable views. Whether you’re a beer connoisseur or just looking for a nice spot to chill, Felons Brewing is a memorable stop in Brisbane.

A day trip to Australia Zoo
If you’re in Brisbane and craving a wildlife adventure, a day trip to Australia Zoo is an absolute must. Located just outside of Brisbane, this zoo is a paradise for animal lovers. It’s home to a wide variety of Australian wildlife, from kangaroos to koalas, and I loved getting up close with them. One of the highlights was definitely the famous Crocoseum show, where they demonstrate the incredible skills of their crocodiles—it’s thrilling! I also had the chance to feed kangaroos, which was such a fun experience, and I even got to hold a koala. It’s one of those moments you’ll never forget, and I can’t recommend it enough if you’re looking to connect with nature and Australian wildlife.

Brisbane is one of those cities that offers a little bit of everything—amazing food, outdoor adventures, and plenty of places to relax. Whether you’re into nature, food, or simply soaking in the vibrant city life, you’ll find something to keep you entertained. It’s definitely worth a visit if you’re heading to Queensland!
