Discover Albufeira:

The best way for you to get to Albufeira is by flying into Faro airport and taking a bus directly to Albufeira old town.

Places to Stay:

Studio Marpesia Airbnb
This Airbnb is located right in the heart of Albufeira old town. It provides air conditioning, which is a necessity if you intend to go in the middle of summer. Something to note is that it does not come with an actual bed, instead, the sofa folds out into a bed.  However, if this would be an issue, there are plenty of other options within walking distance to the main city centre and beaches.

Things to do:

On GetYourGuide, you’ll find a few options and times of the day for experiencing the Bengali Caves, and I believe this is one of the best ways. Once you arrive onboard, you’re greeted by the hostess with a glass of wine. The tour lasts around 2.5/3 hours. You’ll be provided with local experience and knowledge of the beaches you pass and, of course, the beautiful Bengali Caves. During the ride, the boat will stop for a chance to jump into the ocean for a swim. On board, there’s also a bar where you can get water and alcoholic drinks! Tip: Try to be the first to get on the boat to secure a very comfortable, padded spot at the front of the boat, where you’re able to fully lay out.

Go to the Albufeira Beach
Within walking distance from the Airbnb listed above is Albufeira Beach. On the way there, you’ll be provided with plenty of options to pick up some games: volleyball, bat and ball, or even a frisbee! I highly recommend doing this as it only enhances your experience at the beach. There is also a small but popular jumping-off spot that is definitely recommended for anyone looking for some adrenaline.

Places to eat:

Esplanada do Túnel
This restaurant offers the perfect view of Albufeira beach. With plenty of options on the menu, from beers and sangria to breakfast and amazing lunch options, it’s definitely worth a stop. Plus, there are plenty of other options available nearby.

Três Coroas
A MUST visit when you’re going to Algarve is Três Coroas. Tucked away in a secluded spot, it feels like you’ve hit the jackpot when you find it. Here, you can enjoy some delicious local dishes along with amazing wine and desserts. Not only is the service amazing, but the view of the beach, especially at sunset, is one to remember.

Find the perfect activity, tour, or excursion for your ultimate getaway!
