Places To Stay:
Marina Bay Sands Hotel
Marina Bay Sands is one of Singapore’s most famous landmarks, and for good reason. Its stunning architecture, luxurious rooms, and the unforgettable rooftop SkyPark with its infinity pool are just the beginning. The views from up there are absolutely breathtaking, offering a panoramic look at the entire city. As if that wasn’t enough, the hotel also offers incredible amenities like a variety of dining options, a casino, a theater, a shopping mall, and even a spa. However, it’s important to note that Singapore is known for being on the pricier side, and Marina Bay Sands definitely fits into that category. If you want to experience true luxury, though, this is the place to stay.
D’Nova@Bugis
For a more affordable and laid-back option, I stayed at D’Nova@Bugis, which is located in Singapore’s vibrant Bugis district. This trendy hotel offers modern comforts, and its prime location means you’re just steps away from local attractions, shopping spots, and a variety of delicious dining options. If you’re looking for a great base for your city adventures, this is a perfect choice.
Things To Do:
Visit Gardens by the Bay
Visiting Gardens by the Bay was like stepping into a futuristic garden. The towering Supertree Grove, with its lush greenery and dramatic lighting, is truly a sight to behold. It felt like something out of a sci-fi movie, and walking among these giants was surreal. The garden is free to explore, but if you want to experience the Flower Dome, Cloud Forest, or Supertree Observatory, you’ll need to buy tickets. But trust me, it’s worth it. And don’t miss the stunning light show at the Supertree Grove in the evening it’s a magical experience, with synchronized lights and music lighting up the trees around 7:45 pm and 8:45 pm each night.

Get a drink at CÉ LA VI SkyBar
One of the best experiences in Singapore has to be the panoramic views from the CÉ LA VI SkyBar. Located on the 57th floor of Marina Bay Sands, you get an unforgettable view of the city skyline and Marina Bay. The atmosphere is absolutely perfect for a night out, whether you’re staying at Marina Bay Sands or just passing through. If you want to enjoy the views without paying for access to the SkyPark, I recommend purchasing a general entry ticket for $30 SGD, which includes food and drink credit. It’s a great deal and offers the same breathtaking views.
Visit Haji Lane and Arab Street
Haji Lane and Arab Street are two must-visit spots in the Kampong Glam district. Haji Lane is a narrow, colorful street filled with indie boutiques, quirky cafes, and street art, making it a perfect place for exploring and snapping photos. Just around the corner, you’ll find Arab Street, with its rich cultural heritage, traditional textile shops, and Middle Eastern eateries. The Sultan Mosque, with its striking golden domes, adds to the area’s charm and makes for a peaceful, yet awe-inspiring visit.
Go to Universal Studios
Universal Studios Singapore was one of my most fun days in the city. Whether you’re into thrilling roller coasters, immersive themed lands, or live shows, this theme park has it all. I was able to relive my favorite movie moments while having a blast on the rides. There’s something for everyone here, from adrenaline junkies to families with kids. It’s a full day of fun, and I recommend booking your tickets ahead of time to make the most of your experience.

Eat at Maxwell Food Court
No trip to Singapore would be complete without a visit to Maxwell Food Centre in Chinatown. This hawker center is a paradise for food lovers, offering a huge variety of local dishes at affordable prices. I tried the famous Hainanese chicken rice and also indulged in some spicy laksa. From traditional Singaporean dishes to international bites like Indian rojak, Maxwell Food Centre is a must-visit for anyone eager to dive into Singapore’s culinary scene.
Take a photo at Fort Canning Tree Tunnel
For the perfect Instagram shot, don’t miss the Fort Canning Tree Tunnel. This hidden gem in Fort Canning Park offers a magical tunnel of lush greenery and intertwining branches that creates an enchanting natural archway. It’s the ideal spot for a photo that will stand out on your feed.
Visit the Jewel in Singapore Airport
Even Changi Airport offers something worth seeing — the Jewel. It’s home to the Rain Vortex, the world’s tallest indoor waterfall, which is mesmerizing to watch as it cascades down into a lush forest below. I spent hours exploring the surrounding Forest Valley and Canopy Park, where you can walk along trails, enjoy mazes, and even try out sky nets. Keep in mind that the Rain Vortex doesn’t run 24/7, so be sure to check the schedule before you go.
Singapore is truly a city like no other, and each corner of it offers something unique. Whether you’re here for the culture, the food, or just to take in the views, this city never disappoints.
